funeral home 56

Lewis Funeral Home is marking it’s 100th anniversary this month. Chief embalmer James Bryant, Sr. has worked there since 1973. He believes his job as a calling from God. “It’s always been something that was deep down on the inside of me and that’s how if know it was really a gift,” says Bryant.

Click here to see more photos. Big thanks to Kin, Lisa, and William for their help and especially to the great Lewis Funeral Home staff and the amazing families who let writer Vince Davis and I tell their stories.
